Overview
Riders Pizza wanted to implement a dynamic Taplist in their restaurant that could be conveniently updated in real-time. The primary objectives were to ensure readability, aesthetic appeal, live updates, and a user-friendly backend for information management.
Given these criteria, the optimal solution became apparent. Leveraging their existing WordPress website, the decision was made to host the Taplist on the same platform. The backend implementation involved the creation of a new custom post type, incorporating specific custom fields designed to showcase the currently available beers on tap.
To ensure live updates, a simple yet effective JavaScript solution was employed, seamlessly maintaining the accuracy of the displayed list in real time. By adopting this approach, Riders Pizza achieved a professional and seamless Taplist display that integrates directly with their website, offering an enhanced user experience for both customers and staff.
